Company Background And History
J.S. Foster began 30 years ago in the basement of Joseph S. Foster's house. Joe was amazingly creative - from simple parts to complex machinery that he would design on-the-fly. His ingenuity brought many solutions for his customers and friends. Some of the mechanisms he made for secondary operations on parts are still in use today.
Thinking outside of the box is a trait that Joseph passed on to his son, Jack, the current president of J.S. Foster. With Jack's initiative, J.S. Foster was the first shop in the area to use computerized machinery, and we continue to lead in CNC machining today. Our company has been built on long-term relationships with our customers, many of which have been with us for over ten years.
Although we have grown into a first-class CNC production facility, we have not lost the creativity and ingenuity that the company was based on. In fact, our focus on looking at challenges from every angle, and striving to improve processes and techniques, is evident in every part we produce. Today we have 35 employees and eight CNC machines which run 18 hours per day.
Our success comes from much more than just our ability to machine parts. We operate not as just a supplier but rather as an extension of your business. For each part we make we take the time to understand the application and the requirements of each component. We strive for exceptional lead times to keep pace with your business. Internal production performance is measured by delivery response time.
