Welcome to the shop.
These 3 units run for a total of 18 hours a day over two shifts. During that 18 hour period, the only break they see is during a setup or a part change over. The reliability of the machines allows our Machinists to concentrate of effiency of process and the precision of the final components, which becomes even more efficient when coupled with the pallet change capabilities of the HAAS VF 3.
We have five CNC Lathes, including lathes with live tooling for combining turning and milling stages into one operation, which can produce a wide range of components. Combining operations results in improved lead times, better accuracy, and lower costs.

We have 10 manual machines for prototype work, small quantity runs, and for secondary operations.
Quality Assurance
Precision machining demands an integrated quality control system. Each stage of manufacturing is controlled by a standard flow of information. From material receiving, to in-process inspection, to a final detailed inspection report, our quality system ensures your parts meet or exceed your requirements. Quality control procedures include an in-process inspection report, a detailed final inspection report, material tracking, certification of materials, and certification of conformance based on MIL standard sampling plans. All measuring instruments are certified and maintained in a temperature controlled room.
Finishing
We have a complete deburring and finishing department, consisting of vibratory deburring equipment, a polishing machine, a buffing room, and ultrasonic cleaner. Much of our expertise in achieving mirror-like surface finishes on aluminum and stainless components comes from manufacturing precision fly-fishing reels for our Islander Reels division.
